What a great time had by all!Tonight was our annual Kub Kar and Scout Truck races. The event is held every year to encourage Mom's and Dad's to do more things with their sons and daughters. It’s an opportunity for them to spend some time together.
The Cubs received a car kit from their leaders (the Scouts receive trucks), which includes a block of pine wood that is cut and carved to make a small car for racing. Wheels are added and in many cases a vibrant paint job and the boys and girls are off to the races (check out my post on Jan. 26 to learn more about kubkar racing).
The winning cars and trucks go on to the finals in a couple weeks where they will race against other groups in our area.
Alex, who had the fastest car, actually won all the heats he was in! Way to go Alex!
