As I had mentioned before (see Blog March 10 for more information about Woodbadge), I have been in the process of completing my Wood badge training for some time now, and on April 20th, I was officially awarded my Gilwell certificate, beads and necker!
What a wonderful weekend it was indeed!
I was part of a great Six group that pulled together and created a wonderful camp and made it most memorable. It was our responsibility to plan, organize and run a complete cub scout camp (including earning my Tawny Star!)
It was a little cold the first night, but with all that was going on, it was of little concern. From start to finish, the program was well run with great trainers.

We all came away from that weekend further equipped and energized to be able to be better leaders with our respective packs.
I am proud to be a member of Gilwell Troop 1!YIS...LE
