Start from the Beginning!

The time has come for my first blog so I think I better introduce myself.
I am an assistant Cub leader (Chil) with the 1st Armstrong Pack.
My son began Cubs this fall for the first time and so I decided to return to scouting after a 20+ year absence.
Yes, 20+ years ago, I was an Assistant Cub leader (Baloo) with 1st Enderby. Wow! Hard to believe it was that long ago. I am thrilled to be with Scouts Canada again!
I now realize how much I missed being involved.
I have plans of pursuing any training that is available, including the completion of Woodbadge II (more about that another time).
Cubs started in September and since then there has been many things that have happened within our group including two overnight camps, a community service project, several hikes, a Rememberance Day service, and regular pack meetings. Also Scout Popcorn sales, sandbag fundraising...the list goes on...
My son Josiah is havin so much fun! Cubs and scouting in general is so perfect for the youth of today. My son is learning soooo much through scouting and I believe he will be a better man for it...
...and I will most definitely be a better father for it!!
